Working on issues relating to EU and security?
I assume that you need to zoom out, to get an overview and more inspiration. You need to build on lessons learned and think ahead of escalation of crisis. You also need to consider how to get your act together should a serious crisis occur despite all your efforts.
Check out the frame of reference provided by the pages and chapters of this website assisted by the mind mapping see-the-links tool embedded with different starting points on these pages.
You choose the point of departure - I work on establishing links including by adding references to key topical sources. In so doing I put priority on requests received from registered members. You can register here for free until the end of 2016.
This process of daily coding of topical material has been underway since 1,5 years - every morning based on incoming material, notably on Twitter.
My network is by now very extensive which those of you who are on LinkedIn can see: I have been endorsed for my work on international relations, European Union and foreign policy by more than 100 people, including scores of ambassadors, top EU officials and leading researchers. My network includes more than 45,000 followers on Twitter, and currently some 2000 followers on LinkedIn and more than 500 likes on my handbook page on Facebook. on LinkedIn I'm now seeking contact in particular with trainees and younger officials who need to zoom out in their daily work for professional and personal needs.
The External Action Service as an example has a very limited budget for training and in reality most people do not have time after their university studies to enter more extensive training programs anyway. This is why I have created the notion of e-learning light, training on the go every day just a few minutes. And my contribution will be to help you save a few minutes or hours in so doing by preparing the ground for you.
The most recent example is the European global strategy where many people will need to situate themselves. More serious analyses of the strategy document will come later, I'm trying to serve by providing a quick overview of the key topics of relevance to this website, be it Russia, the comprehensive approach, strategic autonomy or for that matter gender and human security.
The main frame of reference is the handbook on the EU and Security which provides the overall structure for this website, Pages and sub pages, or if you so wish column and sub columns. This part of the website can be accessed through the mind map above.
But there are other entry points as can be seen from the embedded image of the web brain below - click your way to explore! For instance there is a chronological entry point focussing on key events.

This is an embedded online mindmap updated through successive manual searches of links between the pages as new material is being added to the website.
In this sense it is not a deductive analysis but an inductive - fed by real events.
But the overall structure corresponds to the analytical structure of the Handbook on EU and Security replicated in this website and is proposed to enhance the book with empirical material.
