First to note that this was the first really extensive discussion of overall EU foreign policy after her hearing in the Parliament in October 2014.

Secondly, media in the first wave of reactions,  mainly referred to her comments on Iran.A good deal is at hand in her view.

The second feature of importance is the role of domestic policies in the West  - read the US Congress.  When talking about the Middle East she also specifically mentions the importance of the Israeli elections.

My own side reflection:  she now clearly  talks about  a role for herself,  Ashton was not mentioned.
